Where To Buy Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

Okay, so I've ordered this machine but have not yet received it and therefore have not yet run on it. I just wanted to comment for those of you that don't know that this treadmill was rated as a "Best Buy" by Consumer Reports 02/06. The Bowflex 7 Series was given an "Excellent" rating in Quality, Exercise Range, and Ergonomics; and was rated "Very Good" for Ease of Use. (The highest marks for all fold up treadmills tested, and better than most of the nonfolding types). So, I'm thinking that for $1499 this will be as good as any of the $3000 model treadmills. Plus a free Bowflex mat, free shipping and no tax! Amazon has the best price that I've seen. I'll update this as soon as it gets here and I crank out a few miles :)Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

The 5 star rating is also because of the consumer reports review. I haven't received mine yet either and am rather nervous to have purchased something this big sight-unseen over the internet--so I'm really counting on the consumer reports review. I'll also update my review after I receive it.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I too am thinking about ordering this based on the recent Consumer reports rating. I wondered a few things:

When ordering this from amazon, did you have to assemble? And who did the treadmill actually come from (what company?)

Also what is you opinion so far on the treadmill.

Thanks a bunch.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Review

update:
...so good... the machine is holding up well. one precaution i would make is before using the heart monitor handle sensors, make sure you discharge any built up static electricity you generated while running* by touching the side handlebars first -- you wouldn't want to end up with fried electronics like the guy above.

*my wife only walks and appears to have no problem with static.

received bowflex 7 last week - right on time. it's 300 lbs, so try to have delivered as close to where you're going to set it up. ass'y took about an hour - mostly from being careful, not because of difficulty. all tools provided but i would use a straight phillips head screwdriver instead of the "L" one provided.

solid construction. fairly intuitive. already loving it. hope it lasts.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Top Quality

I read consumer reports looking for the best treadmill for someone other than a serious distance runner. This was the recommended machine. Its a bit pricey and you do have to do assemble it when it arrives, but its a great machine. It even has a built in fan. One caution, make sure to assemble it in the room where you want it to be and don't expect to be able to move it between rooms because when assembled its too wide for standard doorways. Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill This instant

I ordered my Treadmill on March 7th, and it was scheduled to be delivered between April 7th, and April 25th. However, I received mine on March 30th, and I was pleasantly surprised. Two men had to bring it into my livingroom (delivered by Eagle Global Logistics). One of the delivery guys kept flirting with me, and although it was a bit flatting, I was also a bit unhappy about it (what kind of delivery guy keeps flirting?!? especially when I'm non-responsive). At any rate, I can't say that I was happy about Eagle logistics, especially considering that his shoes were very filthy and left three very large dark spots on my light beige carpet -- then decided to take off his shoes (I don't mean to be nitpicky and maybe I am a bit compulsive, but I keep everything in my home squicky clean and I like it that way!!).

I am a female, about 5'4" and 115Lbs, not big and muscular either. However, I've assembled the entire thing alone. Who needs a man?!?! haha. It was very heavy, but I managed to take it out of the box and push it right unto the spot where I wanted it, and even placed the mat underneath it. The mat is not very durable. While I was pushing the treadmill, it ripped on the side, very easily. Therefore, you have to be careful with the mat because it will rip! After I placed the bottom part of the treamill into place, I began assembling the handrails and the top part, which wasn't very difficult to do or figure out. You will need a good screwdriver, but for certain screws, it is good to also use the screwdriver enclosed. I used it to further tighten the screws, with a dish cloth on the other end in order to make it comfortable for my hands, and be able to add more pressure.

The only thing that was not automatically intuitive, was adding the red magnetic activation button in the right place. For a moment, I was trying to figure out where it needed to go, and the instructions did not provide for that small little detail, so I spent ten minutes wondering if I had assembled it wrong. Once you turn on the machine, it will say "Safe Out" and none of the buttons will work -- until you put the safety red button into the bottom part of the machine. Right between the heatrate monitor handles, there are three "dent" looking holes, you should place the red magnetic activation buttom into the middle one (and the magnet will keep it in place). Now you're set!

The machine is far more quieter than expected. My first concern was the noise, since my brother's $3.5K treadmill makes enough noise to wake me up in the mornings, I was concerned that this machine would make enough noise to wake my neighbors at 5:30 am, which is when I like to do my running. However, I was extremely happy to find out that the machine makes only half the noise my brother's machine makes. It is very quiet compared to most machines, especially the ones I've used at many health clubs. This treadmill is also very long (maybe longer than useful for me), but it's great for tall people. It is thinner and not as wide as most machines, or my brother's machine, but since I'm petite, I am not concerned about falling sideways.

The screen is not colorful and fancy as many healthclub machines, but it is definitely sturdy, stylish, and strong. It has enough power for a good run, but of course, does not replace going for a real run. Nevertheless, it works very well if you're home, and you're just doing a quick run throughout the day. It serves my purpose, especially when I'm too tired to drive to the gym (and when I drive to the gym I always do a full work-out since I'm already there).

All the buttons are very intuitively easy to use and I like the fact that the fan's right in the middle instead of the sides. Side fans usually don't send out enough air (or miss you completely), but this one is in the middle, so whether you're running close, or far from the center of the machine, you'd still get air. Side fans make you run in a certain position, and if you're not right on target, they miss you completely.

All in all, I love my machine and I don't write a lot of reviews, but I had to write one for this. I haven't had a problem with it so far, but I can guess that if I had to put it back into the box (which is almost completely mutilated), I'd be pretty annoyed. It is a 300lbs machine (almost three times my weight), and it was time consuming to assemble and put it in place -- since I did it solo. The instructions do recomment that two people assemble it, though... and it would be much easier too. Enjoy your machine!

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Get it now!

We chose this treadmill because of the high rating Consumer Reports gave it and because of the 60 inch belt. When we ordered the treadmill we were kind of disappointed that it said 3 to 5 weeks for delivery. It came in 3 weeks. My husband had to help get it off of the truck as there was only one delivery person and it does weigh about 300 pounds. Once we finally got it into the house, it took about an hour to get it put together. Nothing happened. We had power to the base but not the console. We tried to reconnect the wires, nothing. Next step was to call customer service. They were closed. I was beginning to get upset especially after reading the previous review. The next day however, we called again and they shipped us out a new console. None of this trying to get replacement parts for something that is brand new. The new console took about 5 days to come and now the treadmill works wonderfully. Customer service even called us to see if we received it and if it was working to our satisfaction. Other than a small glitch at first, we are very satisfied with this treadmill.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Buy Now

I have had this treadmill for a few weeks now and have been very happy with it. It's very sturdy and has a lot of features for a home treadmill. The comments I list below fall into the category of "just be prepared for" and mainly involve the delivery process.

One caveat I have is that this machine is *heavy*. My delivery guy brought it into my garage and despite my attempts to have him put it just inside a room off the garage, no dice. I had to have the help of a very strong guy to move the treadmill where I wanted it. The good news is that after that, it was a piece of cake to put together, involving about 30 big screws and took exactly an hour (probably could have taken even less time).

This treadmill is supposed to fold up, but I can't imagine ever using that feature -- for one, it's too heavy and two, it's so big it's not like you could really hide it anywhere. These are not complaints -- the fact that the machine is big and heavy translates into sturdiness and a larger running surface.

Finally, there's no instant gratification when you click the Purchase button online. Be prepared for this item to take up to a month to be delivered. It's worth the wait, though!

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Decide Now

I just recently purchased a Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill off of Amazon. The other reviews definitely helped me in my decision making process, so I definitely wanted to pass my thoughts along. I respect Consumer Reports as well, so it was an added plus to find out that they rated this treadmill a top buy.

First off, I am very pleased with the overall value. I received a free Bowflex mat to go underneath it, and also got free super saver shipping. The Bowflex mat is decent. I probably would not have purchased it for the $99 price-tag, but it does protect our carpet very nicely, and I'm glad to have it.

The thing I was most nervous about was the free super saver shipping. Other reviewers had mentioned that their boxes arrived in very poor condition, so I didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, my treadmill box arrived in excellent condition. One guy delivered it, and he had quite the time getting it off the truck. He did a great job, though, and nothing was damaged in any way.

As other reviewers have noted, this is one HEAVY machine. It took me (a 200 pound guy), a strong friend, and my wife to lift the thing into our house.

Once the machine was in place, setup was a breeze. Probably took me 45 minutes to an hour, and everything was pretty self explanatory. The instructions were very easy to follow. Probably one of the easiest assembly projects I have ever encountered.

I have already had the opportunity to run on this machine a couple times, and it is even better than expected. Although the machine is very heavy, which makes for an interesting time getting it into the house, I believe the weight also makes it an extremely sturdy machine. I am a 200 pound guy, and the machine has no trouble handling me when I run. It is very smooth, reasonably quiet, and the 3.0 horsepower motor has no trouble handling inclines or running. I have had health club memberships in the past, and this machine is as good, if not better, than some of the "commercial quality" machines I have used.

Also, the 20"x60" deck provides ample running space. The two-ply belt looks thick, and does not appear to be something that will wear out any time soon. The deck also folds up and drops down very easily, with minimal assistance needed.

Here's the stuff that is so-so:

Don't expect the fan to do much. You do notice a difference if you have the fan on high, and then you turn it off. At most, it provides a very light breeze on your face.

As one other reviewer noted, the grip heart-rate monitor seems to take a very long time to provide a reading. I haven't had a chance to use the wireless monitor yet, but it seems like that has received very positive reviews.

Another reviewer mentioned that his belt was off center when he received the machine. My belt was a tad off center as well, but it is very easy to make the needed adjustment to get it centered again.

My only other complaint is that I wish the treadmill had a warranty that would rival Smooth Fitness. I was close to purchasing the Smooth 6.25, but the Bowflex Series 7 was slightly less money, and I felt it offered more features. That said, the Smooth 6.25 has an unbelievable warranty that Bowflex cannot match. Nothing about the Bowflex Series 7 leads me to believe that it will be anything but a great machine for years to come, but I do wish it had a longer warranty.

Overall, the Bowflex Series 7 appears to be an awesome machine, and hopefully it proves to be a workhorse that can standup to years of use.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

This treadmill is a "MUST HAVE". The ordering and delivery process was smooth. I received my treadmill within two weeks. I was clearly informed regarding delivery time. Set up was simple. Low Price Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

Purchased the product based on the excellent consumer reports review. I selected the free shipping...no problems as noted in other reviews, other than the dispatcher had Los Angeles instead of Los Alamitos for the destination. Also, the dispatcher said the delivery would be between 1 and 5 pm...the crew called at 9:00 am and asked if they could deliver early. Word of warning...this thing is very heavy and hard to handle. If you can, have the shipping crew move it it final destination. Also, (I'm speaking from a bad experience) don't remove the shipping strap around the belt until you have the unit where you want it. I found out the hard way that when you put the treadmill on its side, the dang thing folds up...the strap prevents this. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Cheap Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I purchased the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill nine months ago and have used it almost daily. It has held up very well and I have trained for a half marathon, using it as my main source of running since my schedule does not allow me to get outside as much as I would like. I have put on over 800 miles and its had no problems at all. My one disapointment was with the fan. It is not as strong as I would like. This treadmill is also difficult to move around as its very heavy. However, this is a great treadmill, well built and made to last. It was well worth every penny!Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

After reading a consumer mag. and all the reviews on Amazon I ordered the Bowflex 7. What is written is so! After a month of daily use I would buy it again in a heartbeat! Powerful motor, quiet operation, very stable, simple controls, great cardio belt, and easy to fold. The delivery was textbook - called in advance, arrived as promised, and put it on the spot I requested (with my assistance)!

Buy Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I haven't had this very long but so far, I have no complaints. It is definitely of 'gym quality'- very solid, sturdy, and quiet. Plenty of variety is possible with the programs. A quality chest strap heart rate monitor by Polar was included. It is heavy but assembly was really easy- no problems at all. It was useful to read the other reviews that said to open the box where you want the treadmill to be. I could have done most of the assembly myself once it was positioned so it was really a breeze with my husband helping. Shipping was prompt but I was surprised that only one delivery guy showed up to haul the thing into my house (EGL). He struggled with it quite a bit and I ended up 'helping' lift the thing over the steps on the porch (it was snowing)- not a great idea at 24 weeks pregnant but he never would have gotten it in otherwise. He also seemed irritated that I asked him to move it an extra 20 feet once inside (effortless with his dolly) into position instead of the 'threshold delivery' just inside the door. Other than his bad attitude and inadequate help, the experience was positive- shipped and arrived quickly.
I haven't tried all the features or needed to call customer service so cannot comment on those things. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

I'm really enjoying this treadmill. My only complaints are that the fan isn't powerful enough for me, and that I have difficulting finding a good position for my book when I use it for my easy day workout (the longer, slower walk). Delivery was perfect, it arrived on time, and set up was fairly easy. Please note that it took two of us to put it together, but the instructions were very good and it went together without any problems. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Order Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I ordered this treadmill in October 2006 and have been very satisfied. The price has gone up $100 since I ordered it but with free shipping and no tax, you might still come out way ahead. I researched several treads (probably 8-10 different models) through Consumer Reports and other sites and this seemed to have everything I wanted at the best price. I believe CR still rates it as a Best Buy.
In our family the Clydesdale (me) uses it 3-5 X's a week. I initially weighed 235 pounds and it took my pounding without any problem.
The Cross Country star (my youngest daughter, a junior in high school) uses it off and on throughout the week and more in the off season. The Swim Star, (my other daughter, a sophomore in college) uses it when she's at home during the weekend or holidays.
The Walker, my wife, has used it only once.
All in all, its used almost every day and we've had no problems since October.

PROS and CONS
Clydesdale:
This runs and feels like a solid, gym quality machine. The belt runs smoothly, the motor is fairly quiet for the horsepower, it changes speeds and elevation quickly (faster than the one at my gym, I believe) and has a variety of programs that will keep you satisfied but that I rarely use. Shipping was earlier than expected and polite. Eagle brought it right in and left it boxed where I wanted it but in fairness to others who posted complaints, I have double entry doors, a huge den with a wide entry way and no stairs. I moved furniture out of the way the day before delivery date to ensure they wouldn't just drop it off. With consistent use, I have lost weight with this treadmill and incurred no problems. It is a heavy machine, put it where you want it, and don't expect to fold it up every night without major help. Assembly was OK but must be done with a partner. The biggest complaint from me is the static shock that builds up with each use. Annoying but not a deal breaker, in my opinion.

The Cross Country Star:
A good machine. I thought my Dad was buying a cheap toy, but this is as good as the gym with some exceptions. The display looks cheap, graphics could be clearer and sharper, and more interesting (i.e. multiple colors, charts, etc.). The fan is weak. Other than that, you can really break a sweat with this thing and it works great. It's good for off-season training and it gives my legs a break because of its cushioning effect.

The Swim Star:
When I use it, I enjoy experimenting with the variety of programs. The belt stays even and aligned. I can shift from a run to a walk easily and smoothly. The emergency stop clip feels silly to wear. The treadmill itself feels solid and well built. Fun to use once in a while.
Swimming still rules.

The Walker:
I was concerned about its size (it's a big machine!) but glad it folds up for special occasions.

Where To Buy Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

It is a quality machine. You get what you pay for. I read reviews on other machines. I am 6'1", 210 and the treadmill is stable and sturdy. Too many programs to mention or do. When putting it together bee sure to have the box put where you are going to put it together. It assembles together pretty easy with basic handy man knowledge. Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I have wanted a treadmill for a long time now and when my husband and I finally decided to buy one I did lots of research to find a really good one. This treadmill showed up with great reviews on amazon and consumer reports. My husband runs about 30 miles a week or so and he really likes all the features this treadmill included. I am new to running but really wanted a treadmill with lots of different training programs. The programs are great and I am really getting into running which is something I really wanted to do since I have never been good at it. The fan isn't the greatest but it does help a little. We have it in a room with a ceiling fan so that helps out a lot more. The people that delivered it were great. Our delivery man was very helpful and offered to put it in the room we wanted in our house. I read in some reviews that some of the delivery people wouldn't but I guess it just depends on the delivery person. Overall we are really pleased with our purchase.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Review

Nice piece of equipment. Quite heavy,it required three of us to get it upstairs to it's final resting place. So far the only problem has been getting the heart rate monitor to work when holding the bar grips. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does'nt. The chest strap works great for seeing your heart rate though. The machine is actually being used five days per week. Also this treadmill is rated high by Consumer Reports. Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Top Quality

After looking at several treadmills in our local fitness store and online, I took a look at the recent Consumer Reports magazine which rated fitness equipment (February 2006). The Bowflex Series 7 was rated at the top of the folding choices, as well as being awarded a "Best Buy" rating. This was the only one of the folding models that had an "excellent" quality rating. Thus, my choice was made.

I ordered this treadmill through Amazon.com and the process was outstanding. The treadmill arrived via a freight company and I found out it is one heavy beast. My neighbor and I had to slide it into the house, down the stairs into the exercise area (no way could two people even lift this). The parts were all packaged very securely and the instructions were quite good, with clear instructions on assembly and photos. Parts are labeled with "stickies" that have corrisponding letters, which aids in assembly. Assembly was painless, although the little allen wrenches that are provided are of marginal use (I used my mechanic's set). Did I mention this this is heavy?? The Bowflex parts are all heavy (with nice welded seams) tube or square bar steel, not thin tube steel or aluminum, as is common on Wal-Mart style or inexpensive treadmills.

In use, this thing can take a beating. The heavy gauge frame can withstand running (yes, running/jogging) from a grown adult male (rated up to 300 lbs.). I have seen friends have their treadmill's deck flex or even warp under their weight, but the Bowflex is solid (after two months of every day use). The heart rate chest strap is a plus, as well as the different programs that are available. Very solid, large deck and quality make this a great treadmill.

Advantages:
1) Clear assembly and operating instructions (two different books -- one for assembly, one for operation)
2) Wireless chest strap for heartrate monitoring.
3) Outstanding quality.
4) Easy to fold and move around. This is still heavy, so be careful with it.
5) Great price through Amazon.com
6) Huge deck and track (much longer and wider than a normal treadmill).
7) Several programs that can vary your workout.
8) Quality!

Negatives:
1) The allen wrenches are useless. Use good tools for assembly and save on the bruised knuckles and sore hands.
2) Custom programs are not easy to set up (have to set incline and speed while in operation). Pre-setting the time, incline and speed for your entire workout before hitting start would be a nice plus.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill This instant

Pro. The unit is physically solid, stable
Free shipping is pretty quick, but the front axis cover is broken (the charge of fixing costs Bowflex is too much at least $150

Con. User manual is not good. I believe that my technical reading skill is very high but still do not know how to lube the belt (do I need to call for a technician by then!)
The heart rate monitor does not work. I have been getting in touch with Bowflex technical support, and they plan to fix the handgrips. I hope that this defect can be solved (Otherwise. I would very disappointed because I buy this new one for that main purpose)
The belt noise is unusual if we do not walk on it.

Suggestion. To save for the company, they should provide the consumers a very good and complete manual and instructions because there are many users can solve some simple problems fast by themself.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Best Quality

Product delivered by a two-man team; no problems. Box was banged up a bit, but everything was intact and unscathed. Getting unassembled unit through a narrow doorway was tricky. Had to use 2 small moving dollies and lay base on its side. Set-up was straight forward and easy; Bowflex provides all the tools. I like the unit, but selecting running programs is not intuitive or really easy, i.e., you cannot simply cancel a selection and pick another program. The strap-on cardiac monitor is easy to use. Main thing is I'm on it every day. It appears to be a sturdy unit; a top choice in a recent Consumre Report. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with this treadmill. It is very sturdy, it looks good; not cheap in any way. It has many great features - many different programs, incline levels, etc. I think the built-in fan is great, too. The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have yet to be able to get the heart-rate feature to work, it is extremely heavy and I have concerns about being able to fold it up if/when I need to move it. The delivery was free which really helps with the budget, and I was fine with the delivery. Some difficulty scheduling the delivery but the guys were friendly and everything was in good condition when it arrived.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Decide Now

Knowing this was a treadmill we could fold up and put away, we were surprised to find such a sturdy machine! It's great! But be prepared for the weight when it first arrives. It requires minimal assembly and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The treadmill works really smoothly and has many great features.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Right now

I checked the previous reviews here, and Consumer Reports, before purchasing. I'm extremely pleased with it! I don't do any running on it, but CR said some running would be ok. It was a "quick pick" when I checked before, and I just read their latest magazine and they did treadmills, again, where it ended up as their only "best buy" for folding treadmills. It received "excellent" for ergonomics, exercise range, and construction. It received "very good" for ease of use. That could be about all the "neat" stuff you can do. Add in your weight, height, check your BMI, target heart rate, etc. It is cool you can do all this, but I did find some of it confusing. I tried to do a fitness test that gives you some idea of what kind of shape you're in, and it didn't seem to run throught the program. But, I wasn't sure I had punched all the right buttons for that - hence, lack of ease?

Used Super Saver Shipping and didn't encounter any problems. It is heavy! My husband and I used a furniture cart (flat thing with wheels) to get it out of the garage where it was placed after delivery. It folds upright, not flat, which for us has been nice when we want the floor space.

I gave it 5 stars because it does exactly what it says, feels solid, and seems to be built very well. I haven't had any negatives.

P.S. I LOVE the "incline" option!Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

No complaints about this treadmill. It's quiet and seems very sturdy. Of course, as others have mentioned, it's very heavy and quite large. I tried to move it into my basement but couldn't even get it through the door.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Discount Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

This treadmill is very large, but worth it. It is sturdy (and heavy). I love the incline levels. The fan is a little on the weak side, but appropriately so. It came with a heart monitor strap, which works well; but I haven't been able to get the treadmill to read my heart rate very consistently with just the sensors on the bar. The folding works really well. It goes up easily and comes down softly, although I haven't folded it up very much. This treadmill isn't very mobile, so figure out where you want it and plan to keep it there. It is heavy and awkward to move. I strongly recommend using a mat under it.

Overall, it performs very well. In comparison with other treadmills it excels in all qualities except mobility and the handle bar heart rate monitor (use the strap).Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Cheapest Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

After reading Consumer Reports and Amazon reviews, I decided to purchase the Series 7 treadmill from Amazon. The cost is reasonably competitive for this well-built machine (heavy assemblies and motor from Taiwan). I ordered the free freight option.

The unit shipped from Reno to LA (silly hub and spoke) to Salt Lake on Eagle (Amazon). Then a moving company made the final delivery to Montana. Total delivery time was about two weeks.

The unit ships on its 'nose' (motor end down). When the box arrived on the truck, the motor cover was completely visible through the crushed cardboard box. The driver and I could see the motor cover was severely cracked. Amazingly, in spite of the fact that the entire lower portion of the box was destroyed, none of the ship loose parts were missing. I ordered and received a replacement motor cover from Nautilus for $57. (Freght claim to follow.) After transferring the decals, the unit looks like new.

Ordering and replacing the parts took time that could have been avoided if Nautilus would engineer a better packaging scheme to protect the delicate motor cover during shipping. It was obvious that I was not the first person to order a replacement motor cover. Other reviews confirm the same issue.

The performance of the treadmill is very good. Many reviewers make negative comments about the fan but I did not buy this treadmill because of the prospect of an effective fan. The platform is solid and powerful. Operation is quiet.

This treadmill is a very cost-effective alternative to expensive commercial units and is much higher quality than the box store and warehouse versions. I would buy it again. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Cheap Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

When my machine arrived it was not working properly. The motor is making a very loud noise. I understand that sometimes there are problems with equipment; however, I am extremley dissappointed in Bowflex customer service. Everytime I have called there has been an minimum of a 30 minute wait to speak with someone. Once I got someone live, they agreed that the machine needed repair. They said I would be receiving a call from a repair person to fix the machine. That was over 5 days ago and I still have not been contacted. For the price of this equipment, my expectations are to receive proper working equipment and great customer service. This has been extremely inconvenient.

The machine was easy to put together and looks like it would be great if it worked, but if you receive a defective machine good luck with customer service.

Buying Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

My wife and I are real happy with our Treadmill purchase. I was looking for a treadmill that I could jog on while my wife was looking for one for walking during the wintertime.

We researched a number of treadmills, features, prices, etc. and came to the conculsion that the Bowflex 7 was the best fit for us. It was the best priced product with a 3 hp motor, a long bed for running, a wide tread, and the ability to fold up. Some of the other products we reviewed were higher priced and had some fancier features but we didn't need them. We ended up buying this treadmill and a small LCD tv for our workout room for the same price as the other models we were choosing from and feel we got exactly what we were looking for.

We have no complaints and would buy this same product again.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

WE LIKE THE TREADMILL, but be careful about using the recommended assemby service company Jez Inc. Assembly by professionals is strongly recommended unless you have experience and a strong helper!!!

We don't like to use our credit cards over the phone (the only way you can pay Jez Inc. with credit card) so we opted to send check (priority mail) they promised to contact us when payment was recieved to make appointment-NO CONTACT!
Then they promised to call when check cleared-NO CALL, SO WE CALLED THEM AGAIN AFTER WAITING SEVERAL DAYS!
Then they promised to have their local rep call us right away and to email us the contact info for the local rep.-NO CALL FROM A "LOCAL REP" AND NO CONTACT INFO SENT!! When we called back a few days later to ask for the contact info, we were told it is against their policy to release this info!!!
Then we were told that the local rep would contact us within 48 hrs, 4 days later we got a call from someone located about 70 miles from us who although had never assembled our type of treadmill, promised to call us back that evening to confirm an appt. for the following Thursday. Four days later (the following SAT) still no call.
We finally started calling local sports equipment stores (The Sports Authority told us that they had about 16 local customers who had paid Jez Inc. for delivery and assembly with the same results, none!), we were referred to Sear's sports dept. who were on the job and helpful even though we didn't purchase our treadmill from them. (RARE SERVICE THESE DAYS, BUT WE ARE TELLING EVERYONE WE TALK TO ABOUT SEAR'S WILLINGNESS TO HELP EVEN THOUGH WE BOUGHT OUR PRODUCT SOMEWHERE ELSE) Sears passed us along to their assemblers/installers (even got the contact info!!! )
We called had an appointment for the next day, they showed up on time, and their fees were 25% less than JEZ Inc.
WE CANCELLED OUR ORDER WITH JEZ Inc. and were PROMISED A REFUND OF OUR ADVANCED PAYMENT, BUT WE"RE NOT HOLDING OUR BREATH, SO FAR NO REFUND!!!

We even decided to start looking at SEARS first from now on, they proved their commitment to service with action, not just all the marketing ads we are hammered with everyday by "others"
